Benches are made from found lumber and delivered to bus stops without seating. 2005-2015, Dimensions variable

The desire to control the use of public space is anti-democratic. It renders those parts of the city as dominated spaces. In an effort to deter citizens from using bus stop benches in undesirable manners, the city removed them entirely from many stops. The artist constructed benches from lumber found in the streets, most often using scaffolding planks leftover from renovations in the rapidly gentrifying city, and placed them first in those stops that he used personally and later in any stops where the benches had been removed.
